The School of Engineering and Information Technology (SEIT)

SEIT delivers research-informed education in its world-recognised, high-quality Engineering and IT degrees to its undergraduate body.  The School offers programs in electrical, mechanical, aeronautical, and civil engineering as well as in aviation and information technology to graduates and professionals who will be Australia’s future technology decision makers.

SEIT contributes leading research, innovation, and higher degree research programs with specialisations in research in areas such as Air Transport, Control Theory, Structures and Materials, Impact Dynamics, Cyber Security and Fluid Mechanics. Congratulations to the following staff who were successful in last year's round of ARC proposals:

• Fangbao Tian - ARC Discovery Early Career Researcher Award

• Hussein Abbass & Kathryn Kasmarik - ARC Discovery Program

• Ian Petersen - ARC Discovery Program

• Harald Kleine, Paul Hazell, Andrew Neely, and a team from UNSW and UQ - ARC LIEF Program

 These four awards will bring over $1.5M of funding over the next three years to SEIT.
