RESTRICTED ELECTIVES
CREDITS: 16-21
Students must complete sixteen (16) to twenty (20) credits of restricted electives. Courses used to meet other required areas may not be used to
satisfy this program requirement. Please note that some restricted electives may have prerequisites that are not included in the total program credits.
If you interested in taking courses that have additional requisites, you will need to adjust your academic plan to incorporate these courses, or obtain
permission from your instructor to waive these requirements. Consultation with the Program Director is recommended for students considering
transfer to university to optimize transferable coursework.

RECOMMENDED COURSE SEQUENCE
This version of the program will be used for advising and student planning purposes. Any developmental course requirements should be completed
prior to starting the courses listed below as they may be required for enrollment in courses listed in the semester sequence.
This engineering major requires General Chemistry I and II and Fundamental Organic Chemistry or General Organic Chemistry I at the university.
These CHM courses are what is shown in semester by semester sequence below; however, you may choose other courses from any of the options
listed in the Restricted Electives (RE) area. Note that you will not receive RE credit for both CSC100++ and CSC110++. A total of 16-20 restricted
electives are required.
PHY111 and PHY112 are strongly recommended for students who have not completed one year of high school physics with a grade of C or better.
If you are considering transfer to a state university, select general education distribution courses [SB, HU] with L, C, G, and/or H designations. You
also need to be mindful of the GPA, as there often are minimum requirements for admission into engineering programs.
Schedule permitting, it is recommended to take general education courses during the summer sessions, including the summer prior to your first
semester, to reduce your class load during regular semesters.
To enroll in more than eighteen (18) credits, you must obtain college approval. If you need to reduce your academic load, you should consider taking
general education courses during the summer session.
