This unit introduces students to some guiding principles around technology regulations, ethics, sustainability and security that influence how both individuals and businesses make decisions in relation to technology adoption. Technology Lifecycle Management This unit is aimed at young professionals who are likely to have some responsibility for managing technology at some stage in their career, which may include hardware, software, implementation, procurement, maintenance or security.  Because the world of technology changes so rapidly, this is a practitioner based, rather than theoretical unit.  A wide range of issues are covered, from risk management, through project planning, implementation, procurement, and security.  The assignment is based on a real-world business problem and is individually assessed.   Managing Technology Projects Technology managers face unique challenges and risks when leading technical project teams to deliver solutions that address strategic needs and provide stakeholder value.
