SocketCC is a class library that encapsulates the standard Sockets API and provides a series of classes that allow the program to implement IP based network programs that support both TCP and UDP network communications over both IPv4 and IPv6 based networks. The current version of SocketCC has been tested on the following platforms: Linux supporting the PThread API, the Sockets API and IPv6 Network Programming Support. Sun Solaris supporting the PThread API, the Sockets API and IPv6 Network Programming Support. Apple MacOS X Original Release supporting only IPv4 networks. Apple MacOS X Jaguar supporting dual IPv4/IPv6 networks. FreeBSD Unix supporting dual IPv4/IPv6 networks. IPv6 support may be required to compile the current version of SocketCC, the current source code base requires IPv6 support, future versions may support conditional compilation on non-IPv6 clients.
