Developed by MathWorks, MATLAB allows matrix manipulations, plotting of functions and data, implementation of algorithms, creation of user interfaces, and interfacing with programs written in other languages, including C, C++, Java, FORTRAN and Python. Please follow below instructions in order to download and install the MATLAB For those of you that are using managed desktops you do not have to do anything as we have performed relevant license updates on our side. For those on self managed/personal equipment please read on: STAFF and PHD’s Current MATLAB users: For those of you that are using managed desktops you do not have to do anything as IT Services perform relevant license updates on our side. For those on self managed/personal equipment please read on: * How do I update my MATLAB license file for an Individual or Designated Computer license? http://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/answers/96751 New MATLAB users: * If you are not a current user, and want to install Matlab: - Create a MathWorks account (https://www.mathworks.com/accesslogin/createProfile.do) - During the registration you *must* use your university email address (@qmul.ac.uk) - When asked "How will you use Mathworks software?" choose "Teaching or research in school" - To associate your account with TAH license, go to the License Center (mathworks.com/licensecenter), and click on "Add License" in the upper right hand corner. - Choose "Associate by Activation Key" and use the following activation key: 16339-74143-80000-94415-32670 - Go to: https://mathworks.com/downloads. Click the download button for the current release. Click the installer button to download the installer. - Locate and start the installer you downloaded in a file browser. It should be located in the default download location, unless you specified another location. - In the MathWorks installer, select Log in with a MathWorks Account and follow the online instructions. When prompted to do so, select the license you want to use. Select the products you want to download and install. - After downloading and installing your products, keep the Activate MATLAB checkbox selected and click Next You may contact the Service Desk with questions or issues. To get started, go to the TAH Resource Kit (https://uk.mathworks.com/academia/tah-support-program/campus.html), which offers a comprehensive collection of resources for integrating MATLAB and Simulink into your courses and research. You will find video tutorials, classroom materials, webinars, and more. STUDENTS Our Matlab TAH Student license allows you to install Matlab on your personal equipment.
