Description Initially, bone-anchored prostheses (BAP) using osseointegrated implants were mainly developed for individuals with upper limb and transfemoral limb loss. However, recent developments in surgical procedures have attempted to make direct skeletal prosthetic attachment available to individuals with transtibial amputation (TTA). A limited number of TTAs have experienced both total knee replacement and implantation of osseointegrated fixation. Regardless of the efficacy and safety outcomes of this procedure, there is little evidence of potential health economic benefits of transtibial BAP compared to typical socket-suspended prostheses (SSP). The purpose of this presentation will be to share the first cost-effectiveness analysis for the provision of transtibial BAP performed by Queensland Artificial Limb Service (QALS), from governmental perspective. Impact and interest: Search Google Scholar™ Citation counts are sourced monthly from Scopus and Web of Science® citation databases. These databases contain citations from different subsets of available publications and different time periods and thus the citation count from each is usually different. Some works are not in either database and no count is displayed. Scopus includes citations from articles published in 1996 onwards, and Web of Science® generally from 1980 onwards.
