The demonstration will be held during the normal tutorial hour for each student. It is likely that we will not have enough time to demonstrate all students in the class and normally it takes around 2 hours to demonstrate one tutorial group. Demonstrations can be held earlier or later during the same week .
It is the student's responsibility to have a suitable sutherland machine and account already setup. If you are not ready when the marker reaches you then you will be placed onto the end of the waiting list and the tutor will go to the next student.
Demonstrations must be on the Linux machines in the lab. Java is not yet perfectly stable and sometimes programs and applets work on one system and not the other. Most use pc's as they have the least problems.
To be fair to all students, all students will have the same deadline for code submission. Of course we cannot demonstrate all assignments on the same day and you should not alter or update your files after the submission date. The tutor will ask you to display all file dates of your class files in the directory as part of your demonstration.
If you wish to continue working on your assignments while waiting for a demonstration for part A, then work on a copy in another directory. After demonstration for Part A, you can copy the altered files into your main working directory.
