It is an extensive modification of the FreeBSD TCP stack that includes changes to the socket, protocol blocks and TCP input/output code paths. MPTCP maintains compatibility with existing TCP applications and can interoperate with standard TCP. This version is not fully compliant with the RFC, but contains the primary mechanisms to become fully compliant in future patches. The MPTCP v0.5 patch is the last source version to be released here.
