The five-week program is offered by the School of Computer Science and is available to all students studying a Bachelor of Advanced Computing, a postgraduate computer science degree, or related degree. Upon graduating from the program, students should have a clear business plan and polished pitch they can take to incubators and investors. Participants are split into teams and undertake a series of workshops and one-on-one mentoring covering the business and technology fundamentals needed to succeed when building a start-up. At the end of the program, teams will pitch their own business idea and demonstrate their products to a panel of industry advisors for the opportunity at receiving a $1,000 prize.
