What We Are Seeking 
 
Ridge Tool is currently seeking to place co-op students in the following fields:  
 
Mechanical Engineering – Employees will gain experience in engineering lab testing, computer aided 
design, manufacturing processes and product design. The position will also provide an opportunity to 
apply engineering theory toward solving real world challenges.  
 
Electrical Engineering Co-Op – This position is perfect for students interested in embedded system 
circuit board design.  EE co-ops get the opportunity to utilize various types of lab equipment to conduct 
tests as well as build circuit board prototypes using through hole and surface mount technologies.  They 
will also learn schematic capture and PCB layout used to design embedded circuit boards on CAD.  
Students will also learn “C” programming of microcontrollers and be given the opportunity to design, build 
and test complete circuit boards. 
 
Software Engineering Co-op – This position is perfect for students interested in pursuing a career in 
software development within a collaborative team environment. Software engineering co-ops get hands 
on experience developing real applications for the business and our customers using a wide range of 
technologies like Java, .NET, iOS, and Android. 
 
Software Quality Assurance Co-op – This position allows a student to work directly with multiple 
software development teams to gather and understand requirements as well as write and execute test 
cases against newly developed or modified software. Students will also write automated functional tests 
to quickly regression test applications without requiring human intervention.
