Title pages in industry reports are usually detailed enough so that readers know: the name of the organisation or group who conducted investigation, the title of the report e.g. Field Trip Report of Drummond Basin Geology, the author/s of the report and their position/s (e.g. John Smith, Head: Field Projects), the date the report was submitted, and to whom the report was submitted (e.g. client name). For your university assignments, a title page would include: the institution and school name (usually at the top of the title page), the course name and code, the title of the report, author/s name/s and student ID/s, and the date the report was submitted, the name of your course coordinator. Some courses consider the school assignment cover sheet as the title page. Check with your course coordinator if a separate title page is required. With any title page make sure you have all the elements identified in the example and that the presentation is simple and clear.
