1. CHANGE OF SUBJECTS
If you have queries on subject selections there will be an opportunity at a future date in Term 1 to have them
reviewed. Students will be notified when this will occur. In this situation, part payment of the Contributions

2. VOLUNTARY CONTRIBUTIONS AND COMPULSORY CHARGES
Attached is your voluntary contributions and compulsory charges invoice for 2016. Payment of these charges
goes directly to assisting the delivery of the curriculum to all students therefore your cooperation in making a
prompt payment is appreciated. In addition, where charges have not been paid, students may not be
permitted to participate in activities such as the school ball, reward excursions, sports college tours or any
other event subsidised by the school.

6. BRING YOUR OWN DEVICE
Access to technology is vital in a future-focused learning environment and we have a strong and ongoing
commitment to 21
st
 century teaching and learning excellence.

It is for this reason that we have, as have schools across Western Australia, implemented a Bring your Own
Device (BYOD) program for all Year 7-9 students. The BYOD initiative encourages students to bring their own
notebook/tablet to school each day. Students in other year groups will also be encouraged to participate.

See the enclosed information sheet outlining more information and minimum specifications required.

7. SECONDARY ASSISTANCE SCHEME
Please find enclosed a Secondary Assistance application form. If you are eligible to claim, please complete
the form and return as soon as possible to the College together with a current card.

Closing date for applications is 8 April 2016.

8. SMART RIDER APPLICATIONS
You can apply for your child‟s smartrider card at www.monitorwa.com.au/smartrider/default.html.

9. STUDENT HOSTS
The College has a program where students gain clerical work experience by being „host‟ students for a day.
A „host‟ student performs duties such as clerical duties, running messages to classrooms and other duties as
required by Administration. Students will be required to participate in any tests or assessments due on their
rostered day, or attend any pre-arranged activities. A replacement Host will be organised if the student is
absent from school.

It is important that you advise us if you do not wish your child to participate.

The beginning of the year is a very busy time for all and your cooperation in the above matters is appreciated.

Should you have any queries regarding the above information, please contact the Business Manager on
9453 0100.

Yours sincerely
