Downloading “xsession.jnlp” from equeue: 
1. Go to the link https://linuxlab.seas.wustl.edu/equeue/ login using your WUSTL ID and password. 
 
2. Press the tab “Submit job”.  
 
3. Press on the “Linux_Desktop” option. 
 4. Choose the “Maximum Run Time”, “Size of Desktop” and click on “Submit job”. 
5. After a while a file named “xsession.jnlp” will be downloaded. 
 
Install javaws: 
1. Browser should have the ability to run javaws. Windows users download the application from 
https://wustl.box.com/javawsdownload . 
2. On linux you might have to use IcedTea's javaws. 
Double click “xsession.jnlp” file which uses java workstation to open. Give your WUSTL password to log 
in. You will a screen popping out like this:
